Six weeks.
Six invitations.

Each session is a door. The young man who walks through Week 1 and the one who walks out of Week 6 are not the same person. That is the point.

The Six Sessions

One-word invitations. Each one a door.
Week 01
Mirror
Identity

"Who are you when no one is watching?"

Most young men today are not experiencing a passage into manhood - they are drifting into it. Tonight plants the seed: identity is not assigned. It is discovered and chosen. There is a difference between the man they are becoming and the identity that has been handed to them by circumstance, wound, or culture.

In this session

Exploring the names - spoken and unspoken - that have been placed on them

Purposeful conversation guiding each young man to explore the words written about them, and those spoken over them - and beginning to decide which ones are true

A session built on unpacking, learning, and listening - establishing the trust and ground rules that make the next six weeks work

Week 02
Carrying
Healing

"Name what you are carrying. It has weight whether you acknowledge it or not."

This is the most emotionally demanding session. Almost every young man in the room will have experienced some version of father-absence - physical, emotional, or relational. The goal is to establish a trusting environment where honest conversation can happen - a space where young men can speak through their life experiences, good and bad, and begin to reframe those experiences, build new narratives, and establish belief systems that are chosen rather than inherited.

In this session

How every experience - painful or positive - carries the material to build toward a future that can be named, spoken, and moved toward

The role of trusted relationships - fathers, mentors, and those who see and believe in a young man - in turning what has been lived into what can be chosen

Setting a path toward a future that is not defined by what happened, but by what is now possible - and beginning to speak about what an aspirational future may look like, while honestly dealing with the ingrained self-doubt and negative thought behaviours that stand in the way

Week 03
Honour
Character

"A young man without a true understanding of who he is will always be at the mercy of whatever room he walks into."

You do not become courageous by feeling courageous. You become courageous by doing courageous things until courage becomes your character. Character is built in advance of crisis, or not at all.

In this session

The six virtues: Courage, Honesty, Loyalty, Compassion, Justice

Who you are under pressure is who you have been becoming in the thousand moments before

The compounding advantage of having healthy, successful men in your life - fathers, mentors, business leaders, husbands - whose lives carry visible fruit, and what it means for a young man to have access to that

An older man standing in the gap for a younger one - not to fix him, but to reflect back what he cannot yet see in himself

Building trust in yourself by beginning to see yourself the way those who believe in you already do - and letting that become the foundation for honour, character, and forward movement

Week 04
Belonging
Community

"You were not made to walk alone. This is not weakness. It is architecture."

Young men are drowning in digital connection and dying from loneliness. What they are missing is not contact but community. Not followers but witnesses. Not an audience but brothers. Adolescent boys have a profound capacity for deep friendship - and modern culture systematically trains that capacity out of them.

In this session

Who are your five - the people you would call at 2am if something was seriously wrong? Exploring why those people: what do they bring to your life, what is it about them that makes them safe, and what does that tell you about what you value and need in your closest relationships?

Loving confrontation: speaking truth because you love them too much to watch them self-destruct

Looking at the opportunities that open through the program - employment pathways, community, and the positive influences already surrounding them - and presenting the real potential they are actively participating in by being in the room

C.S. Lewis on the inner ring - the most corrupting force in human community

Week 05
Targets
Calling

"The place you are called to is where your deep gladness and the world's deep hunger meet."

Only 20% of young people aged 15–25 have a clear sense of purpose. This session is not a careers talk - it is a conversation about meaning. Purpose is discovered at the intersection of what you are made for, what you care about, and what the world around you actually needs.

In this session

Mapping gifts, passion, and the world's need - where calling lives

The man who sweeps streets and knows he serves the dignity of his community has a calling

Draft purpose statement: "I exist to [verb] [who] by [how]" - exploring how who you are, how you are built, and what you have experienced are not obstacles to that future but the very things that qualify you for it and lead you toward it

Week 06
Now!
Impact

"You were made for this. You have been shaped for this. The community is behind you. The door is open. Step through."

The young man leaving Week 6 walks out with a direction, a community, and the beginning of an understanding that who he is - not who others need him to be - is enough to build from. The world needs young men who know themselves, not young men who have been shaped into someone else's expectation. That is what these six weeks have been building toward.

In this session

The Impact Declaration: "I was made to… I have been shaped by… and I will use both to…"

Personal statement from the facilitator - specific, genuine, drawn from six weeks of observation

Impact does not begin when they are older. It begins in the next environment they walk into.

You showed up tonight.

That took courage.

What was said in this room stays in this room.

You are not alone.

You are seen.

You are welcome here.

Same time, same place - we'll see you next week.

The consistency is the commitment.
